With the news of the #Legacy Commander #Armada #OptimusPrime coming soon, I broke out my OG Final Battle Armada Optimus. Unfortunately his trailer’s battery terminals have problems, but the original Armada Prime’s trailer still works. I’ve put two videos of the autotransforming trailer. I’ve never had any problems with them in the 20 years I’ve owned these toys, making this figure superior to the Robosen by far.

He totally needed more accessories to justify the Deluxe price point. I mean he barely has enough accessories for a regular LC figure let alone a Deluxe. Couldn’t you put in some Evil Senturion parts or I dunno…his BIKE so he and Zhane can match?

Anyway I got him for slightly cheaper than the price of a normal #lightningcollection figure so I can forgive him. He’s a nice little homage to Metal Heroes and yeah he looks so good next to his bro the #PhantomRanger.

The second one I repainted using the Air Assault team since they weren’t brittle clear plastic. I used the CD Clear Blue Versions as a base.

He’s pretty cool, a worthy upgrade to the #generations deluxe…except for the missing #minicon ports. Come on, Hasbro. You had one job.

Also the Star Saber is too small. Man. And the Wing Sword not being foldable is no bueno.

Apart from those little nitpicks, #armadastarscream is a very good figure. Here he is with the Gen deluxe and Armada #Thundercracker.

Mandroid Skull and the alt Iron Skull head are the same mold but I feel the more Silver Age face works better with this new body rather than the washed version.
